Proposed discussion on GM

The President of the cluster of greenhouses, José Miguel de Peña, reported that this entity is organizing a seminar to ensure that all sectors that handle the subject of GM in Dominican Republic seeds can take their proposals on this issue and discuss the consequences which would generate the cultivation with GM in the country.
"Before the journalistic account of that a company introduce genetically modified seeds in the country, the cluster of greenhouses proposed, responsibly, a seminar to discuss that issue because if actually allowed to come and Monsanto GM seeds, it would be detrimental to the international market for agricultural products of the country" expressed.
The producer stated that he read in the press they were going to introduce genetically modified seeds in the country and that the negative consequences of this must be taken into account.
Explained that it must be established protocols to ensure that it does not affect the u000ahuman health and that exports to Europe did not halt.
