Provisionally open tunnel that leads to the UASD

The Ministry of public works reported yesterday that the tunnel to be built from the avenida José Ortega y Gasset to the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) will be open temporarily from today to make the tests to the systems of control of the viaduct.
According to the institution, the viaduct will be open Friday and Saturday from 9: 00 a.m. to 1: 00 p.m., while Sunday opening will be from 2: 00 to 6: 00 p.m..
The official opening of the tunnel is scheduled for next January. The works are part of the road project called corridor Duarte and the structure is built by the Consortium Norberto Odebrecht.
The opening will allow to test systems for lighting, ventilation, smoke, video cameras and message panels detection variables.
The tests will enable to make the final arrangements for the inauguration of the viaduct.
