Viewed 8 times. The reformist Social Christian Party (PRSC) said yesterday that the existing labour code must be preserved because it is a legacy of former President Joaquin Balaguer to the working classes, which has guaranteed labor peace for almost two decades in the country.
The Secretary general of the PRSC, Ramon Rogelio Genao, announced that the Organization will defend all the conquests of the labour code in favour of workers, workers and employees, after considering the existing labour regulations as fair and balanced in Congress.
"It is an unnecessary provocation claims by some unions business and employers you want to modify by removing several conquests the labour code which left Balaguer to trade unions and the working class national, especially after that it has secured industrial peace for 20 years in the Dominican Republic" indicated.
Genao argued that those who consider overly guaranteeing the labour code are u000athey forget the low wages paid workers in relation to the high cost of living in the country. "With that code our entrepreneurial classes and productive sectors have had good profitability and our economy has kept growth levels above other countries in the region, so the code should be retained unchanged," insisted.
JRSC supports
while, on the other hand, leaders of the Christian Social reformist youth (JRSC) announced its support for the decision of the governing bodies of the PRSC grant special powers to the President of that organization, Carlos Morales Troncoso.
Understand that it was a very smart decision, taking into account that Morales Troncoso "never will fail to the PRSC", that he has enough experience and ability to decide what should be the party and the country's presidential elections on May 20.
"A Morales" u000a"Troncoso hurts the PRSC and therefore will make the best decision so that we have a good performance in elections ahead, they said. The document is signed by Miguel Bogaert, national coordinator of the JRSC, and the secretaries general, Joaquin Diaz; Finance, Raúl Negrón, and organization, Antonio Bello, among others.
