Public works opens the Ortega y Gasset tunnel until the UASD from tomorrow

The Ministry of public works in coordination with the Consortium corridor Duarte ordered the temporary opening of the tunnel to be built from Ortega y Gasset Avenue until the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), with the aim of making the necessary evidence to the systems of control of the viaduct.

According to the report provided by public works, the established timetable is Friday and Saturday from 9: 00 a.m. to 1: 00 p.m., while Sunday opening will be from 2: 00 to 6: 00 p.m..

He said that during those days, there will be tests on systems of lighting, ventilation, detection of smoke, video cameras and panels of message variables.

Points out that after the tests will be made the final arrangements for the inauguration of the viaduct.

In the lighting of the tunnel system UASD using luminaires of steam, a type of light metallic white from 200 to 400 watts of the brand u000aPhilips. The distance between each of lights varies according to the area in which it is installed.

While the lateral stripes and the roof was placed a coating of aluminium as a work of art to the viaduct.

Total install 13 video cameras, as well as fans and sensors of smoke, which will be connected to the center of Control of the February 27.
