Puerto Plata Carnival boost from the city

Puerto Plata�s Carnival will receive a boost from the Council of  RD $ 200,000.00 for the installation and development of this vital expression of culture and traditions in the city.

Alderman Carlos Andres Gonzalez, made the announcement during a press conference at the town hall last Tuesday, called to announce extensive details on the celebration of Carnival in this city this February 27th.

Gonzalez reported that the Ministry of Tourism will be assisting in creating a schedule of activities and parties designed to celebrate Carnival in Puerto Plata,

At the same time,  Gonzalez denied that carnival organizers have received RD $ 7.0 million from in Puerto Plata, a rumor made by people using the media, "trying to mislead public opinion" .

He called for the sectors that always make financial contributions for this popular event to help in the same way again this year, so that domestic and foreign tourists can enjoy this carnival.
