PVE certifying the legality of officials

The Secretary general of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) confirmed yesterday that identification, voter registration, elections, Civil Registry managers and computer science were appointed to meet all requirements of the Electoral law, including the consultation of the political parties.

In a certification, Ramón Hilario Espiñeyra Ceballos, expresses the dates of the public hearings held for this purpose with representatives of political parties recognized by the JCE as well as the numbers of records thereof and of the meetings of the plenary session which were confirmed these appointments.

reported that both Joel D. Lantigua, director of elections; Luis Mariano Matos, director of the Electoral Register; Cold Franklin, Director information technology; as well as the directors of Civil Registry and identification, Vesalius Américo Rodriguez and Dolores Fernández, were respectively appointed as lays down it the rules of the Board u000aCentral Electoral.

Espiñeyra Ceballos said that at the time of the appointment of such staff by the full board any of the recognized parties put objection to these appointments.

Certification of the Secretary of the JCE comes a day after César Cedeño, head of the presidential candidate of the PRD, Hipólito Mejía, campaign asked the removal of the Office of the director of elections of the organism.
