"We are preparing the next coming of President Correa for next year," he told the Ecuadorian Minister journalists after holding official discussions with Cuban Minister Bruno Rodriguez, on subjects of relations bilateral, trade and migration, among others.
Correa was last in Cuba last July to visit his fellow Venezuelan, Hugo Chávez, who received treatment for a cancerous tumor that was operated on the island.
Patiño noted that since the arrival of Correa to the Presidency of Ecuador "we have made significant progress in the relationship with Cuba" and considered that there are many issues in which both countries it can "complement", including culture, economy, the u000asocial development, health, education, and agriculture.
On the migration aspect said that "there are some issues to be overcome" and both parties have been willing to their consular offices "gather in January for an immigration agreement".
