"Mexico and Dominican Republic share the challenge of security, that we are facing with courage, determination and strategic plans that should only lead to the defeat of the crime organized transnational and illicit drug trafficking", said during the ceremony of welcome offered his Mexican colleague, Felipe Calderon.
Fernandez, who took part Monday at the XIII Summit of dialogue and concertation of Tuxtla held in the city of Mérida (Southeast), further noted that both countries share challenges of governance, to establish "Democratic States" and "social right".
On an Esplanade in the official residence of Los Pinos, stressed that both Nations u000athey work to achieve Governments "efficient, transparent and who can answer for their accountability," and economies that are stable, grow and ensure "sustainable development" and "poverty reduction" and inequality.
The Dominican, ruling that travels accompanied by a delegation headed by the Chancellor Carlos Morales, congratulated Calderón on having already completed five years in power, and said that the Mexican President is a "visionary" which has strengthened the ties of his country with all Latin America.
For his part, Calderón said that the two nations are fighting organised crime, "a new and common enemy".

RESALTA CONCERTATION of MESOAMERICA
Fernández assessed the impact for the region economic of Mesoamerica and political concertation mechanism because it constitutes a true scheme of integration which is passed from rhetoric to facts.
To evaluate their participation in the thirteenth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the mechanism of dialogue and concertation of Tuxtla, said that the best way to contribute to an acceleration of the process of growth and sustainable stability is through integration.
