"RD does not produce with GM"

Viewed 11 times.The Board Agroempresarial Dominican (JAD) reported today that the different agricultural products exported by this country are harvested seeds have never been modified genetically and that this entity has not signed agreement with a trading company of GM as reported from a means of communication.

The Vice-Chairperson of the JAD said that the only reason why today this country is the main exporter of cocoa and organic bananas, as well as good positions in other products, is because the Dominican farmers have been adjusted to the quality standards that require such demanding markets as Europe and United States.
"No international certification company going to certify that your product is organic premium, if you do not meet the required standards", reported.
Considered that the statement of the President of the cluster of greenhouses, José Miguel Peña, that are put in u000arisk exports to Europe of agricultural products by the inclusion of genetically modified seeds in the country is outrageous and irresponsible because the Dominican Republic which exports is bananas, avocado, mango, cacao and other products that have not been genetically modified anywhere in the world.
Said that that statement of the cluster of greenhouse can be exploited in Cuba which is a competitor of Dominican Republic, so it considered requiring that Dominicans are cautious when issuing statements that committed to the country.
Benítez offered these statements together with the President of the JAD, Gustavo Florentino, during a press conference held in that State, in which it reaffirmed its commitment to the development of the productive sector of the Dominican countryside.
The organization reiterated that the fundamental purpose of their actions is always aimed to promote a competitive, profitable, sector u000athe environment-friendly and focused on improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the areas rural.
