Since the year 2000, the incidence of chronic diseases and obesity has been increasing, said Patricia Mejía nutritionist at a dinner party conference offered by Dominican Nestlé to members of the Dominican society of Endocrinology and nutrition (Soden).

According to the specialist, "medical nutritionists and endocrinologists identified that the cause of the increase in this incidence was the consumption of products made from refined flour, which leads us to promote a return to the comprehensive grain".

In the event, held in the Taboo Bamboo restaurant, also intervened Nicole Mejia, Manager of marketing Region Caribbean of the company, who said: "Aligned to our philosophy of nutrition, health and well-being, we have decided together with the specialists of the endocrine system and the nutrition of our country, to promote the message of the importance of whole grains and fiber in the diet of the family" u000a"Dominican".
