Rijo pleads not guilty relations with washing

The former baseball player in major league baseball, José Rijo, was interrogated yesterday by the Deputy Solicitor and director of the Department of cases complexes of the Attorney General of the Republic, Frank Soto, in relation to their trade links with Avelino Castro, accused of being the mastermind of the death of the journalist José Silvestre.

The former player is being investigated over a series of linkages of trade and economic nature with Avelino Castro, which has opened an investigation for money-laundering which seeks to clarify the status of Rijo in linkages with the fugitive also charged for drug trafficking

Former player for the Cincinnati Reds said, speaking to journalists, which would like to "apologise to the public prosecutor for the delay, but remember that this is an investigation which requires documents, but, in the case of my own, I have been playing since the age of 15, is not easy for a bank to bring such documentation from one moment to another".
