Russians arrested with drugs

Police have arrested two Russians in a Puerto Plata hotel on drugs charges.

Lasmo Rance, 18, and Raivis Gasgarin, 23, were arrested in the Mountain View hotel and found to be in possession of  what was presumed to be marijuana.

Police also found cards from a foreign bank, a laptop and cell phones. The report states that both suspects are associates of another Russian, Janis Egleitis, who was arrested on September 13 in Cabarete in possession of several foreign credit cards.

Rance and Gasgarin will appear in court in Puerto Plata to answer the charges against them.
