Seismology Director calls for calm and to keep expectations after earthquake of 5.3 degrees

The director of the Institute seismological of the University autonomous of Santo Domingo (UASD) called the Dominican people for calm and to stay in expectation after the earthquake of 5.2 degrees that affected much of the Dominican Republic 5: 35 a.m., at latitude 18: 3 and longitude 70: 5

Eugenio Polanco to provide details of the telluric movement explained that it had its epicentre about 20 kilometers south of Ocoa.

Polanco clarified that there is no possibility of tsunami, as it was on the ground and did not have features to generate this phenomenon.
