Senator Barahona requests via Cibao-South

Barahona, Eddy Matthew Vasquez, Senator joined call for different sectors of the country requesting the Cibao-South highway construction.

Considered that the means of communication is necessary because it would facilitate commercial, social, economic, cultural, sports and tourist relations between the two regions, which would be beneficial for the country and its inhabitants.

The legislature favoured to make feasibility studies to ensure that the road does not affect the environment and ecology of the Central cordillera.

"The residents of Cibao-southern regions would save more than 300 kilometers of the route today, because so far you have to go to the capital, which means an excessive expenditure of time, money and fuel", said Mateo. recalled that the exsenador of San Juan de la Maguana, Ramón José of the Matthew Rosa, submitted an initiative that declares before the upper House u000apriority the construction of the Cibao-South Road, which was approved by a vote of 29 Senators then.
