Teachers consulted at several universities in the capital said that they have standard ask their students not to use the phones even in the modes of vibration or in silence, but shut down. Others are more flexible and allow that they use no ringers.

"That does not comply with that rule should prefer not to be in the classroom", said the professor at the Faculty of Economics and social of the Universidad Autónoma of Santo Domingo (UASD), Fernando Peña, after considering that the use of smart phones has become "a Vice and a relaxation", not only distración, but respect in the classroom.

Sarah Perez, academic University O & M, indicates that the first makes the example in the classroom is she turning off your phone as soon comes to teach teaching.

While Alexis Martinez, director of the school of administration of the UASD, understands that if phones are well used pue - den help strengthen teaching, by what it considers it necessary that the institutions of higher education to work in the regulations for the use of such equipment técnológicos.
