Some of Puerto Plata without water for 8 days
posted on: Apr 7 2010 8:55 by Royston. Viewed 527 times.Anger and frustration is growing in the Torre Alta development where residents reported yesterday, Tuesday, that they have been without potable water for more than eight days.
Dr. Jhonny Tavarez, who spoke on behalf of the residents of the development, said that every day they have to buy water form tanker trucks to meet their needs.
Dr. Tavarez, derided CORAAPLATA (Water Board) officials as inept, saying they lacked the basic abilities to lead such an institution. He asked the public to join in a campaign beginning in the coming days to demand the dismissal of the CORAAPLATA engineer Omali Tavarez.
