Sosua tax collections- the plot thickens

Further developments have come to light in the story about irregularities in tax collection in Sosua.
The company at the center of the row is Global Tax Management, owned by business man
Ian Shembri Sant.

Sosua Council Chairman, Jose Mercedes Vallejo, charged that the company is operating illegally because it lacks the approval of the council.

However Ian Shembri Sant, denies the story given by Vallejo. He is reported to have said that the contract had been annulled and his company has nothing to do with  the contract for the recovery of taxes for the City of Sosua. Shembri Sant however admits he spent more than 1 million pesos on new offices at City Hall.

Mayor Vladimir Cespedes also denied the claims of Ian Shembri Sant on the canceled contracts.

Apparently Mayor Vladimir Cespedes,  Mercedes Vallejo and Ian Shembri Sant all have a different perception about the claims of a private company collecting Sosua taxes.
