The delegation was led by Ignacio Coronado of the Mangeta group and they have apparently been looking at the possibility of getting involved in road construction as well as electrical and technology projects.
The Spanish investors agreed to return to the country by the middle of September, to formalize proposals with the local authorities for the various projects discussed, said Serulle. He added that the meeting had been arranged by Alejandro Montas, the local leader of the PLD as part of the policies of the new administration.
" We are looking for investment in real and effective projects because it is the only way to ensure economic integration for the benefit of our people" said Serulle.
The mayor stressed that the idea is to turn the city of Santiago into a center for promoting investment in technology and sustainable development .
