In the popular social network Facebook, the number of followers they have candidates is higher than its followers in Twitter.

Danilo Medina, presidential candidate of the LDP, tops the list with 115,408 fans, followed by the presidential candidate of the opposition Dominican Revolutionary Party, Hipólito Mejía, who has 78,420 fans or followers.

The first lady and vice presidential candidate of the LDP, Margarita Fernández Cedeño has 9,041 fans on his official Facebook page. In this social network contact with supporters and political leaders is limited with its candidates, and less direct because they often do not have access and are not subject to a chat. The pages are used with a standard of web portal which is limited to upload information, photos, videos and links to interviews and activities political candidates and parties. This space is used for more propaganda than of u000ainteraction with virtual voters. Duplication and dispersal of pages is notorious.
