posted on: Nov 29 2011 7:29 by RDugey. Viewed 13 times.The daughter of Soviet dictator Yosif Stalin, Svetlana Stalin, died on 22 November the 85 years of age due to colon cancer in Richland County (Wisconsin), reported the newspaper The New York Times yesterday.
Svetlana shocked the international community when he fled to United States in 1967, motivated, he said, by the ill treatment which had received her deceased husband, Brijesh Singh, the authorities Soviet.
To reach United States published a book of memoirs which chronicled his life in Russia under the title "twenty letters to a friend", which soon became a best seller.
Svetlana, which for a long time took the surname of his mother, Alliluyeva, graduated from Moscow University in 1949, he worked as a teacher and translator and moved in the literary circles of Moscow before leaving the Soviet Union.
Was married four times, the last one in 1970 with William Wesley Peters, u000awho took the name Lana Peters, with whom he had a daughter, Olga.
The daughter of Stalin wrote three books more, including "Only a year", an autobiography published in 1969.
After living in Britain for two years during the 1980s, returned to the Soviet Union with his daughter, although he only remained there for a year, after which he returned to the United States.U.S.
The last years of life were spent in a nursing home in Wisconsin.
