Taveras justified changes in immigration laws

The Director-General for migration yesterday said that the phenomenon of migration has become a matter of national security, so that the Dominican Republic, like other Nations, has been the need to adapt laws to make them more functional and effective.

José Ricardo Taveras Blanco said that at the level of media openness and transparency with which the institutions are handled are used by persons engaged in trafficking in persons and the transfer of drugs, what is understood have to take the necessary measures to deal with this situation.
