The Moldovan girl Domnica Cemortan, who was seen in the company of the captain of the cruise ship Costa Concordia, Francesco Schettino, the night of Friday 13 January when the ship ran aground in waters off the Italian island of Giglio, has assured that she is in love with him.
Cemortan made these statements in the nearly five-hour interrogation which was submitted yesterday before prosecutors following the case and whose content has been released today in the Italian press.
