The announcement was made by the director-general of the book fair, Alejandro Arvelo, who pointed out that the activity will take place this year from April 18 to May 6, taking the countries of Central America as guests of honour.
Arvelo reported that there is great enthusiasm in all of Central America for u000aits participation in the event that, like every year, takes place in the culture Juan Pablo Duarte square.
Writers, editors and artists from Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Panama, will take part actively in the meeting exhibition dominicano.
"We wanted to honor this special intellectual, laureate writer and referential figure of contemporary letters of the country, on the fifteenth anniversary of the international book fair, of which he was part of its founding team," stated Arvelo.
He noted that other important information about the annual cultural event will be offered in the coming weeks.
Enriquillo Sánchez, belonging to the so-called post-war generation, won various Laura as a storyteller, poet and essayist, among them the national prize of poetry Salomé Ureña, the Latin American prize of poetry Rubén Darío and the national prize of u000aTest Pedro Henríquez Ureña, and tales of home theater awards.
His works include, bird poetry in the rain (1983), by the country of Maguita (1985), Convicto and confessed I (1989), and random memory (1996). Enriquillo Sánchez died in August 2004, at the age of 57.
