The drugs increase up to 25 %

A journey made yesterday by pharmacies in the capital found that the products which have increased in a greater proportion are cardiological, those used to treat type II diabetes and gastrointestinal disorders, as well as the flu, analgesic, relaxing muscle, injectable antibiotics and contraceptive oral.
Pharmacists consulted agree that the cost of more than 90% of drugs, most of the laboratories, has increased in the past three months.
This week some establishments decided to remove price tags to products in existence to make adjustments, according to the u000achanges made by laboratories and thus avoid losses to the new order.
Drugs cardiological and the hypertensive and aspirin in some laboratories have increased by approximately 25%. Used as a treatment for diabetes, metformin and insulin, increased by 20 per cent and 8 per cent, respectively; the first increased from RD$ 100 to RD$ 120 and insulin moved from RD$ 790 to RD$ 853. In the case of the glucamida, for the same purpose, the price has remained stable.
The price of omeprazole and esomeprazole, sued by patients with gastric disorders, increased by about 13 per cent to spend in the first instance of 17 to 19 pesos 20 milligrams and RD unit $335 to RD$ 380 box 14 tablets of esomeprazole, according to one of the sources consulted.
