The Pope said the skills that should be Catholic Bishops, during the mass of the Epiphany of the Lord in the Basilica of St. Peter of the Vatican, where he held the episcopal ordination of Charles John Brown, titular Archbishop of Aquileia and apostolic nuncio in Ireland, and Marek Solczynski, titular Archbishop of Caesarea of Mauritania and nuncio in Georgia and Armenia.
"There has been much discussion about what kind of star was that guided the Magi - said-." One thinks of a conjunction of planets in a supernova, i.e. one of those very weak stars at the beginning but that, due to an internal explosion, it produces for a huge long glow; in a Comet, and so on (...) The star, the u000a"true supernova which guides us is Christ himself".
"He is so so, the explosion of the love of God that shines in the world the huge glow of his heart." "And we can add: the Magi, that talked about the Gospel today, as well as generally Saints, made themselves gradually into constellations of God, that show us the way", he added.
Benedict XVI noted that "contact with the word of God has led in these people, so to speak, an explosion of light through which the glow of God illuminates our world and shows us the way".
"The saints are stars of God that we leave that they guided us towards one who longs for our being (…)." "In the litany of the Saints invoked to all these stars of God, so that they always shine for you and show the way", said the Bishop of Rome.
The Pope also asserted that a Bishop must be also one of those stars that u000aGuide to men, which must have a heart "restless and vigilant", "brave humility", as well as the ability to go ahead and point out the path.
The Pontiff explained that "concern" refers to the "heart that does not conform to anything other than God," thus becoming a heart that loves.
"Our heart is restless with relationship to God – said Benedict XVI - and continues to be even though today look, with 'narcotics' very efficient, freeing man from that concern." But not only are worried us, human beings, in relation to God. "God's heart is restless in relation to the man".
