The Prosecutor interrogated today John Hubieres

Mr John Hubieres will be questioned today by the Office for environment and resources natural, on a charge that he credited with having destroyed and altered protected areas in the sector of Los Farallones, next to the Green Avenue, in Santo Domingo Este.

All will be questioned at 10: 00 in the morning by the Procurator of the environment, Andrés Chalas, in his Office in the third floor of the old palace of Justice in the Centre of heroes.

Submission against the legislator was made by the Ministry of environment and natural resources, through the Deputy Minister of protected areas and biodiversity, Angel Daneris Santana, and Marisol Castillo, legal Director of the institution.

According to the indictment, all held together with a group of 20 people, the protected area where there are several environmental resources, destroying vegetation cover in more than 90%, removing wildlife and contaminating aquifers in the area, u000awith the effusion of fuels, in clear violation to the law 64-00 environmental.

Cites the dumping of solid waste, cutting of vegetation for construction of homes, loss of topsoil by soil removal and alteration of caves with archaeological sites, area used for parking vehicles between damage to the protected area.
