The Spanish Government approves $ 21 million to meet immigrants

The Spanish Council of Ministers yesterday approved an extension of three nominative subsidies, in charge of the general budget of the State of 2012, aimed at humanitarian care of immigrants, in the amount of 16.2 million euros (about $ 21 million).

La Red Cross Spanish (CRE), the Association Committee Catholic Spanish migrations (ACCEM) and the Spanish Commission for aid to refugees (CEAR) shall receive a grant of EUR 13 million for programmes for asylum-seekers, refugees, persons with statutes of international protection and migrants in vulnerable situation.

Programmes provided consist of services and amenities aimed at integration in the host society, reported the Government.?They include the first assistance at border posts and other points of the Spanish territory, temporary reception, information and guidance, legal, and legal advice the u000apsychological assistance, aid for employment and social integration, the voluntary return and resettlement in safe third countries.

, Red Cross will receive an 2.584.000 euro grant to the attention of immigrants in three services: humanitarian care walk to beach, attention to immigrants in settlements, and a training facility, aimed at the people that voluntary work in this entity to carry out the program.

Third nominative grant approved today is 605.000 € for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).?With this aid will be financed programmes of voluntary return for vulnerable migrants or victims of trafficking in human beings and developed by IOM and programmes aimed at applicants and beneficiaries of international protection developed by UNHCR.
