Ana Julia Torres kisses her passionately to Jupiter, a lion that was rescued from a circus for twelve years.
The large cat is found in the refuge Villa Lorraine, in Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia Department.
Torres, a 52-year teacher, founded the shelter pet Villa Lorraine 17 years ago and there some 600 animals protects victims of drug traffickers, curcos, dealers of species or owners who drop out. The image is part of "The photos of the year 2011" AFP.
