The top 10-rated hotels in Punta Cana

The Tortuga Bay Boutique Hotel, a five-star 56-room facility, heads the list of the top 10 best rated hotels in Punta Cana.

Voting was done by visitors to the Tripadvisor.com website, one of the most important when it comes to international tourism issues.

This beachfront property received the “Five Diamond” award, the highest category given by the American Automobile Association (AAA).

Also on the list:

Iberostar Grand Bavaro Hotel (all-inclusive beachfront hotel, 274 rooms: 260 suites, 13 grand suites and one presidential suite).

Travellers’ Choice 2011 named it the “Best All-Inclusive” facility.

Zoetry Agua Punta Cana (51 bedroom suites), given the Tripadvisor Choice Awards 2011 as one of the best in Mexico and the Caribbean

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana (all-inclusive five-star hotel, 597 rooms); the Gran Bahia Principe Esmeralda (all-inclusive five-star hotel, 240 rooms, owned by the Bahia Principe Hotels & Resort chain.

Excellence Punta Cana (all-inclusive, adults only, 446 luxury room distributed in 13 three-story buildings).

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana (all-inclusive five-star hotel, 658 rooms with Jacuzzi), belonging to the Majestic Resort chain.

Iberostar Bavaro (all-inclusive, 596 junior suites), a member of the Iberostar Hotels & Resorts chain.

Sanctuary Cap Cana, in the Cap Cana complex, with 176 suite-style rooms.

Secrets Royal Beach (adults only all-inclusive, with 373 rooms), belonging to the Unlimited-Luxury brand of the AMResorts chain of hotels.
