The UASD needed six thousand seats at its headquarters

The University autonomous of Santo Domingo (UASD) faces a shortfall of more than six thousand seats, situation forcing many students to travel powers entire looking for seats.

El rector Mateo Aquino Febrillet said that the academic institution in tender process to acquire these seats, but is not known from where it will obtain the funds necessary to purchase.

The Faculty of Humanities is one of the most affected by the lack of seats, while the engineering and architecture, delivered yesterday to the UASD by Office of engineers supervisors of works of the State, only has 600 seats, but they are insufficient for the number of students enrolled.

Cloister
in the middle of criticisms and questions of faculty and staff, the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) launches today the largest cloister in order to introduce several amendments to the Statute within the Academy.

President of u000aFaprouasd, Ismael Peralta, called members of the Federation not to vote in the cloister, considered that the intention is to benefit the Rector and the other authorities.

Peralta said that there are no conditions or transparency in the editing of the event and that lack of control mechanisms to validate the quorum needed for the process

The first meeting of the largest cloister will take place this Wednesday from 8: 00 in the morning to 8: 00 of the night in the faculties of the central headquarters and centres regional.

Yesterday was opened to the public the UASD parking building, once made corrections to problems of leakage, cameras for monitoring and other.
