They are protesting about violence against women in the country

Dozens of women marching yesterday to the National Palace in claims that the country is declared in a State of emergency by gender-based violence, which this year has claimed the lives of 211 women at the hands of their partners or former partners. The activity was in commemoration to the day international for the Elimination of the violence against the woman.

Supported by students and some men, women were concentrated against the independence Park, where they raised their voice of protest, performed dramatizations and carried placards which call for equality and respect, to then go to the National Palace.

Although they were not allowed to reach the House of Government, women gathered in the Park which is located in the Mexico Avenue corner on March 30, where a fence was mounted police.
