They ask that tourism is a national priority

The first Dominican tourism (Fodatur 2011) annual Forum raised the need to devise a policy of competitiveness and sustainability of the different destinations, diversify the tourism offer and implement fiscal and legal reforms to promote tourism and enable them to grow.

"Actions like not continue to export taxes, have an Itbis differential, improve legal certainty, modify and update the law on tourism, are imminent," noted representatives of the tourism industry of the country, at a breakfast with the participation of the ministries of tourism, economy, planning and development.
