They call for reform code to avoid impunity

Recognized three Jurists yesterday advocated the extension of the limitation periods, to avoid that cases like the heroes of chigger, killed 50 years ago in the Hacienda Mary, remain unpunished. This proposal opens a debate on a topic that not has been given the importance required.

Castillo Pantaleon and Jhon Garrido, then family of the chigger heroes, murdered for having executed to the lying Rafael Leónidas Trujillo, request further investigations to determine where they are the remains of their relatives and condemn those responsible for the crimes.

Cury, understands that although the perpetrators of the murders of the Maria Hacienda were alive still not they could be tried because 50 years have passed since this date and therefore any legal action this prescribed.

Holds the jurist that if the prescription has not been disrupted with any u000aprocedural diligence, is absolutely impossible to judge anyone for these events.

While Castillo Pantaleon, said that it would amend the penal regime as regards the crimes limitation periods and increase the term of prescription.

"This cannot mean that a fact already prescribed him amend the already strong position, because it would be making the law retroactive and that would be unconstitutional".

Jhon Garrido, understood that in such a case, as to what it has to do with claims for damages and prejudice caused to that family has no prescribed.
