They capture two accused of burning trash in Rafey

The Municipal police of Santiago yesterday arrested two people accused of burning debris in the dump for Rafey, causing a great smoke that arropaba a large part of the city.

Detainees were identified as Francois Yan Haitian and Dominican Pedro Luis Mercedes (Luiyi).

Retired director of the Municipal police, general Pedro Eugenio Toribio, said that the two men they dealt a container with charcoal, flammable materials and a sack full of aluminium, iron and copper used in their actions.

Toribio added that the Haitian and Dominican are supposedly recidivists in this practice, and that they do to extract solid materials, such as lead, aluminium, iron and easy marketing.

According to the report of the Municipal police, Pedro Luis Mercedes is the head of a gang dedicated to commit various criminal acts in the area of the Hekinantantopia or landfill of Rafey.

The action of u000athe unscrupulous of burning the garbage dump creates a great smoke that the clothes virtually the entire area of the municipality, with its attendant diseases and worsening of people suffering from health problems, especially respiratory.

Last year year 2011, the Mayor of Santiago underwent several persons by burning landfill Rafey, but they remained at liberty.
