posted on: Nov 23 2011 7:58 by RDugey. Viewed 15 times.The Deputy Francisco Antonio Matos submitted yesterday to the Chamber of Deputies a draft resolution that seeks to question the Superintendent of banks, Haivanhoe Ng Cortiñas, by the refusal of a project submitted to regulate card credits.
The legislature of the Dominican Liberation Party by La Vega believes that the attitude and behaviour of Ng Cortiñas is inadmissible, as a civil servant. Matos resolution calls question Ng Cortiñas for stating and justifying its position to undermine congressional authority to legislate on the legal regime of the use of credit cards.
The official considered that any initiative related to credit cards, as well as the interest rates charged by banks for the use of this instrument of payment, must be made within the framework of the monetary and financial law.
Said that the creation of a law is irrelevant u000ato regulate credit cards, as stipulated in a project submitted by Matos.
The resolution indicates that its article 217 of the Constitution establishes the guiding principles of the economic system of the country, in terms of guidance and basis, providing that it is oriented towards the search for human development, economic growth and the redistribution of wealth.
