They praise control of cholera in the country

The Minister of public health, Bautista Rojas Gomez, yesterday, said at the start of the national meeting "within one year of the cholera epidemic: sharing experiences to strengthen interventions", that the key issue for the control of the disease in the country has been the treatment of water and sanitation that had occurred in areas marginal.

Activity involved Dr. Liliam Reneau-Vernon, representative of the Pan-American Organization and World Health (PAHO / WHO) in Dominican Republic, Dr. María Jesús Conde, representative of UNICEF, and the Madam Irene Horejs, Ambassador of the European Union.

They highlighted the work done by both the Minister of health, and all its management team to deal with the cholera.

At the meeting, the Minister of Health said that the extension of the decline in the epidemic will be strictly linked by control systems of the water and sanitation in areas u000amarginal to be taken into the country.

"Where us continuing that, we will improve, we will continue to do so and are going to eradicate the problem, the disease", explained Rojas Gómez.
