The public will now have the opportunity to do something about. Is them is asking the voters of this American territory if they wish to amend its Constitution and lay off dozens of members of the Senate and House of representatives, which would cut costs and reduce the size of the legislature in almost 30%
Is almost certain that the answer is a resounding Yes in the technically binding referendum. "That removed them at all." They do nothing... "They believe that the people who are blind," said Miguel Garcia, a 58-year-old engineer, after Governor recently signed the bill authorizing the referendum of the August 19.
Is a popular on the island feeling, u000awhere there is an obsession with local politics, especially the endless debate on the relationship of Puerto Rico to United States. In good and bad times there is a disdain generalized by the politicians.
But perhaps now Puerto Ricans have more reasons to complain, given the number of scandals that involve legislators and their higher salaries than those of most of his American colleagues.
