They rescue a girl who was kidnapped and taken to Haiti

A child of six years was rescued in border town of Juana Méndez since she was abducted by a man of Haitian nationality, according to the agronomist Jose Taveras García, father of the child.

It was reported that the abduction occurred in the street José Agustín Peralta of the municipality of Loma de Cabrera.

Taveras García stated that the raptor demanded the sum of 10 thousand dollars to release the infant, which had for more than two days in captivity. Faced with this situation, Dominican and Haitian authorities drew up a plan to establish the whereabouts and rescuing the child.

The recovery of the child occurred about 100 kilometers south of the Haitian population of Juana Mendez, Haiti, through operation carried out by Haitian police and judicial authorities, as well as also members of the police Dominican.

The younger was handed over to their parents and the Dominican authorities, at noon yesterday at the bridge u000aborder between Dajabón and Juana Méndez.

Martian Matthew Espinosa, Dominican Consul in Juana Mendez, appreciated the support provided by the Haitian authorities in the operation which resulted in the returned from this safe minor territory dominicano.

Espinoza reported on the arrest of three people in Haiti, with regard to this fact, which will be put to justice, although he clarified that the main suspect still at large.

On their part, the father of the minor, Pedro Jose Taveras García, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Haitian authorities and of the Dominican Consulate in the aforementioned Haitian community, and said unknown in its entirety to the raptor's daughter; likewise has not even idea about the reason that led to commit such criminal action.

Other information from Pedernales seized 9,924 units of soups, six boxes with 48 brought small boxes of u000acontraband from Haiti and with date expired.
