The Dean of the Consular Corps of Jamaica, Hon. Arnold Foote, and Rosendo Alvarez III, Consul Estonia in the country, promoting the creation of the Caribbean Maritime Institute in Dominican Republic in Jamaica, with the support of the Minister of transport of that country, Mike Henry,.
For this purpose was an agreement of understanding in the context of the Expo international of trade of the Consular Corps of Jamaica, held from 9 to 11 October in Kingston.
This country was represented with stands of the national authority of Maritime Affairs (Anamar) and of the shipyards Ciramar company. The Caribbean Maritime Institute was created in 1982 with backing of the Kingdom of Norway. Is a training resource center human.
