According to the preliminary draft, the citizens who violate the law and sell pieces of stolen vehicles shall be punished from six months to two years in prison or a fine five to 20 times the minimum wage
Ramirez said that to that reoffending in violation of the law, will apply the closure of the business.
"The National Institute of the rights of the consumer protection (ProConsumidor), will be the institution responsible for ensuring the implementation of this Act, for such effects will work in coordination with the Attorney General of the Republic, the National Directorate of internal taxes (DGII), and the General Customs Directorate" indicates the piece.
Also provides that every citizen may u000arequest ProComsumidor, the inspection of any establishment of vehicles and used motorcycles for sale, where there is suspicion that the place had stolen vehicle parts.
Ramirez said that the country has increased violence and criminality, "being one of the reasons the theft of motor vehicles and motorcycles driven bands organized with the objective of dismantling them and sell them in business of spare parts used".
