The majority of children is prepared at this time to write his "letters" to Santa Claus, but not many children of aliens that they prefer to send a letter to President Barack Obama to stop the deportations that separate families.

The campaign of the National Alliance of domestic workers (NDWA), called "We Belong Together", seeks to convey to President Obama the message of children directly affected by the policy of deportations.

"The message we want to send (to Al President Obama) is that no child should be separated from their parents by the immigration laws", said to Efe Marianna Machucon, Deputy Director of NDWA.

The campaign, which began on 15 November and will end on December 8 with a rally in Washington in which several children delivered letters in Congress and the White House, has collected up to now 4,820 letters.

"At a time of festivities when we share wishes is important for children" u000a"to express what they think and part of these wishes is that children should belong to their parents and their families and that these families belong to our communities", said activist.

One of the missives, a minor identified as Ana Gisel, calls to the Obama President if he could give a gift "the gift that I would I would would a law of no more deportations".

"The voices of children on the subject are quite impressive and we hope that they are heard in the White House, said between local organizations that are participating in the campaign is the Alliance Latin of Georgia Pro human rights (GLAHR), which so far has collected 540 letters in Georgia.

"In a week and a half that we have been with the campaign, we have seen a very nice participation of children, many of them born in United States, requesting that they not deport their families", he told Efe u000aAdelina Nicholls, Executive Director of GLAHR.

According to activist, suffering and the "emotional impact" resulting in family children under separation will have major consequences in the development of these.

"Is important that they are the children themselves, with their own voice, drawings and ideas, which will write to President Barack Obama what they feel and concerns that they have before the deportations", said Nicholls.

The organization expects to reach the mark of 500 letters by Thursday 1 December and they have called for children who want to participate to send his writings to the 2215 Perimeter Park Drive Suite 6 Atlanta, GA 30341, by fax at (678) 325-6747 or email to the info@glahr.org.

According to a study of the applied research center, known as "Family Destrozadas", there are more than 5,000 children children of immigrants currently residing in temporary homes (foster care) after u000ahis parents were deported the report estimated that 15,000 children would more have the same fate in the next 5 years if there is no change in the policies of deportations, a situation which affects more and more States and not just the border.
