Thousands reject Prime Minister

For its part, United States intensified its demand the generals to transfer without delay the power to the civilians.
More than 100,000 people yesterday flocked the Tahir Plaza at the center of Cairo, in what constitutes the single largest mobilization since he gave home the new confrontation between the demonstrators and the military.

El-Ganzouri said in a statement on television that the military Council has conferred greater powers than its predecessor. He noted that it would have not accepted the charge if he knew that the Chief of the military Council, Hussein Tantawi field marshal, intended to stay in power. "The powers that were granted me exceed the delegated to similar charges," said el-Ganzouri, who apparently spoke with discomfort, studying words and made breaks with frequency

He also said that it is impossible to integrate a Cabinet before parliamentary elections which will begin Monday.
