A TSA committee, composed of George Cross, Brian Abbott and Pedro Rtela, also praised the Control of Quality and Security Program which has been implemented in Dominican national airports, by the Special Airport Security Corps (CESA).
The technicians who inspected the facilities at the airports managed by Aerodom Century 21, said the checks provided by these companies and the airport authorities meet the expectation of U.S. authorities.
"We studied the many arrests, the installation of access control equipment, inspection of identity cards and control of items in duty free zones and can confirm the effectiveness of control measures," said the TSA.
The TSA commission sent a letter to Aerodom CEO, Andrew O'Brien, where they expressed satisfaction with the controls in the Las Americas airport and others that were inspected.
These inspections are done every so often by U.S. authorities with the aim of evaluating the security controls and conditions employed by the airport staff to check passengers and baggage.
