Tourists arrested for alleged theft and assault at Cofresi hotel

Colonel Jesus Cordero Paredes, a Puerto Plata Police spokesman, named the detainees as Laing Marc Andrew, aged 23, and Blandon Devis, aged 22.
The two young men were staying at the Lifestyles Hotel resort in Cofresí.
According to police, the receptionist at the hotel, Maria Castillo Vargas accuses the two men of luring her away from her desk by asking her to make a copy, and when she turned her back, stole US$ 5070, RD$ 5,000 and a cell phone from the cash register, and then assaulted her.
