Treasury continues to fight against slot machines

The clarification was made by the Deputy Minister of the portfolio, Julio Fernandez, who specified that the raids in places where they operate the illegal traganíqueles are performed through warrants authorized by competent judges and to the accompaniment of the public force mandated by the Security Department of the Ministry of finance and official police.
The officer made the clarification to complaints from owners of filled with that slot machines would be dismantling unfilled requirements concerned.
Warned continue article 7 of law 96-88 which prohibits the installation of these gaming equipment in locations outside the casinos u000aplaying authorized.
Also stressed that those responsible for operating these machines is them will continue imposing law 29-06, in its article 12, which establishes correctional imprisonment from 6 months to 2 years, or both at once, and fines between RD$ 100 thousand to RD$ 500 mil.
The Deputy Minister Fernandez broached the subject in the Act of dismantling of 100 slot machines in the stores of the price stabilization Institute (Inespre), in the Luperon Avenue.
Reiterated that operations will continue "relentlessly" to put an end to the operation of the slot machines which are causing serious damage to parents and minors in the entire Dominican territory and contributing to the rise of crime in the country.
