The ceremony was carried out in the gardens of Government House, where Milly Quesada, Rafa Rosario, Sexapil, Pavel Núñez and pastor and Evangelical worshipper Marcos Yaroide, sang songs to Christmas.
President Leonel Fernandez took the stage to wish the Dominican people "have a Christmas full of harmony, peace, family meeting and that next year we can always do with happiness, optimism and faith a better fate for all".
The ceremony began once the girl Yolanda America handed over to his father, President Leonel Fernández, the device with which lit the Christmas tree, time was accompanied by his wife, First Lady Margarita Cedeño de Fernández.
