Two bankers in list of 371 prisoners seeking pardon

Manuel Arturo Pellerano and Andres Aybar Báez bankers are contained in a list with 371 inmates who have deposited their documents for before the pardon Commission newly created, hopeful that they take into account in traditional forgiveness which grants executive power every year to commemorate the day of independence on February 27.

The Commission integrates, besides Santos Acosta, Manuel Arsenio Ureña, Treasurer of the Board of Trustees national penitentiary: father Aristides Jiménez Richardson, general Chaplain of prisons; Gladys Chelo of Almonte, Assistant Finance and administration of the Attorney, and the Rev. Cyril Zarate, prison chaplain in the Diocese of Puerto Plata.

These must place recommendations to attorney general of the Republic, and this in turn to President Leonel Fernandez.

Members of the Pardons Commission meeting is held in the prison pastoral care of the Conference of the Dominican episcopate.
