Two tourists drown in Cabarete

The victims were identified as Nicholas Carlucci, 63 years old and Valentino Joseph, 64, who were tourists staying in Hotel Magnifico in Cabarete.
National Police told reporters that Joseph & Carlucci died from drowning while enjoying a swim in the waters, according to the medical examiner.
Both Canadian tourists arrived in the Dominican Republic last Friday in order to enjoy their holidays on the North Coast, especially in the area of Cabarete, even they had to return home on 24 November via the Puerto Plata International Airport "General Gregorio Luperon".
The bodies of Joseph & Carlucci were sent by authorization from the representative of the Public Prosecutor, Deputy Prosecutor, Dr. Wilfredo Martinez Castillo, to the National Forensic Science Institute in Santo Domingo in order to determine the real causes of their deaths.
Meanwhile, National Police officials are investigating the case in order to provide explanations to Canadian consular officials and relatives of the deceased as to why both drowned at this Cabarete beach.
