UNPHU recognizes Mariano Defilló

La Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) recognized Dr. Mariano Defilló Ricart as Emeritus Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Academy, for his teaching career and long practice in medicine.
Parchment for the recognition and enforcement of University silver medal to Dr. Defilló were in charge of the rector, architect Miguel Calderón Fiallo.
The presentation of the honoree was in charge of the current Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of UNPHU, Dr. José Javier Asilis Zaiter, who highlighted his talent, delivery and terms of human being.
"Is a brilliant Dominican and medical copy for those that have devoted body and soul to this profession, said.
The last Dean of that faculty, Carlos Montero Brens, who uttered the words of motivation, defined Defilló Ricart as an illustrious doctor and human being.
Defilló u000aRicart is medical internista-cardiólogo, a graduate of the University of Santo Domingo and epecializado at the Institute of Cardiology of Quebec, Montreal, with over 50 years of professional practice, including 33 in the children's hospital Robert Reid Cabral, where he founded the residence of cardiology.
In the area of teaching was the UNPHU rector and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Academy, where he was also recognized as Professor meritísimo.
Defilló Ricart is a member emeritus of the Dominican Association of University Rectors.
