Urban planning leaves much to be desired

The municipalities of Dominican Republic must have an Office of planning urban, according to the 176-07 law on municipalities, but in practice this is only true in some mayoralties.

This country has 155 municipalities and 232 municipal districts and each has a Town Council which should have a Bureau of urban planning, however, only larger representations are those that have that Department, explained the executive director of the Dominican Federation of municipalities (Fedomu), Victor D´ Aza.
